Along the sun kissed shore of Kata-Noi beach, a pair of food enthusiasts’ husband and wife duo embarked on a culinary journey. As they were taking a stroll along this bustling beach, they were drawn by an aroma of spices overflowing from a secretive restaurant. Unbeknownst to them, they were in the presence of a hidden gem helmed by the legendary Khun-Loong Chef.
Hordes of laughter surrounded the chef as the pair approached Khun-Loong Chef’s cooking base. There they witness a culinary magician at work, flames and ingredients surrounded him as a cacophony of metals can be heard from the passionate cooking he displayed. The dishes he created were marked with experience, tradition and of course, flavour...
Fascinated by Khun-Loong Chef's mastery of the culinary arts, the husband-and-wife duo invited him to a tête-à-tête over traditional Thai Coffee. They discovered a shared love for authentic cuisine and a dream to create a brand-new dining experience that celebrates Thai- Chinese cuisines.
Thus, under the warmth of the sun, the gentle breeze of the sea and in the aroma of good coffee, the duo and Khun-Loong Chef forged their partnership built on mutual respect and a shared love for good food. All coming from a diverse background, they all had a dream for a culinary haven where vibrant colours and flavours of Chinatown and Thailand would reach out to more people. This dream took shape in the form of “Thai-Yeh”, a southeast Asian styled Kopitiam presenting the best of both worlds.
